Steve Patterson

Steve is a Telluride local. His high level of professional service, sense of the real estate market and passion for Telluride make him the perfect choice to help find your special place in the Telluride region. During his three terms on the Telluride Town Council (lastly as Mayor Pro Tem) Steve helped form the laws that have preserved our quality of life, not to mention property values. Graduating from Bucknell with an accounting degree, Steve came to Telluride in 1973 to run the first ski shop at the base of the lifts, shortly after becoming an owner of what is now Telluride Sports. In 1990 he traveled to Moab to build a successful brewery and restaurant (Eddie McStiff's) with 80 employees and nights serving over 1,000 dinners. As Brewmaster, Steve won many Best of Show awards for his fabulous beers. In two short years he was made a Director of the Chamber of Commerce and President of the Rotary Club. Steve's wife of 24 years, Jenny, a local accountant, is active as a Telluride School Board member and on numerous related panels. Chas (17) is in architectural mentorship and Elizabeth (12) participates in almost everything the mountains have to offer, which is a lot.
