Steve Patterson
Steve is a Telluride local. His high level of professional service, sense of the real estate market and passion for Telluride make him the perfect choice to help find your special place in the Telluride region. You'll also have fun doing it, and learn a little local history.
He is now an owner and VP of TREC as recognition of both his leadership and sales performance. During his three terms on the Telluride Town Council (lastly as Mayor Pro Tem) Steve helped form the laws that have preserved our quality of life, not to mention property values. What sets us apart is our Town and the people. This is a vibrant communtity with a spirit not found elsewhere. Come let me show you what I mean.
Graduating from Bucknell with an accounting degree, Steve came to Telluride in 1973 to run the first ski shop at the base of the lifts, shortly after becoming an owner of what is now Telluride Sports. In 1990 he traveled to Moab to build a successful brewery and restaurant (Eddie McStiff's) with 80 employees and nights serving over 1,000 dinners. As Brewmaster, Steve won many Best of Show awards for his fabulous beers. In two short years he was made a Director of the Chamber of Commerce and President of the Rotary Club. Currently he is serving his fifth elected term as Treasurer and Director for the Telluride Association of Realtors. His peers trust his financial abilities.
Steve stays busy skiing, snowboarding, whitewater rafting, deep sea fishing, dirt biking, flying models, and sometimes hiking. Steve's wife of 28 years, Jenny, a local accountant, is active as a Telluride School Board member and on several State Education Boards. Chas (21) is a Culinary Graduate from Johnson and Wales, a level two Sommelier and is now pursuing a business degree at CU Denver. Elizabeth (17) is a Senior heading to Business School at CU Boulder.
